⭐Case Study: Layla — From Timid to Future Champion
A journey of confidence, courage and transformation.
Layla's journey with Black Country Combat is a powerful example of how the right environment, encouragement and determination can help someone discover strengths they never knew they had.
When Layla first started, she was a very timid and a nervous girl who had never been involved in contact sport. Stepping onto the mats and learning martial arts was completely outside her comfort zone.
But with the support of Black Country Combat, her coaches and her family, Layla gradually began to overcome those fears.
What started with nerves and uncertainty has developed into confidence, discipline, focus and determination. She has pushed herself beyond what she believed she was capable of, embraced challenges and continued to progress — ultimately achieving her yellow belt and becoming a fantastic example of what perseverance can achieve.

MORE THAN JUST THREE BROTHERS
When Logan, Brandon and Kaiden began their journey with Black Country Combat Association, they were stepping into something completely new.
They weren't experienced fighters. They were three brothers learning, growing and challenging themselves together.
But their journey has been about much more than kickboxing.
Two of the brothers live with disabilities — but that has never stopped them.
Instead of allowing challenges to define what they could achieve, they have continued to train, learn and push themselves forward.
And with the support, guidance and encouragement of Black Country Combat Association, they have discovered that their potential is far greater than they may have first imagined.
Their disabilities haven't been a barrier to greatness.
They've become part of a story about overcoming challenges, building confidence and refusing to give up.
🥋 FROM NERVOUS BEGINNINGS TO YELLOW BELTS
When the boys first started, there were nerves, uncertainty and plenty of new challenges.
But session by session, they continued to turn up.
They learned new techniques.
They became more confident.
They pushed themselves further.
They supported each other.
And most importantly, they didn't give up.
That hard work has now resulted in a huge milestone:

Their story demonstrates what can happen when people are given the opportunity, support and belief to succeed.

From 19-year-old newcomer to a rising amateur MMA fighter

Callum’s MMA journey began in 2023, around the time of his 19th birthday. What started as a young fighter stepping into the world of competitive combat sports has developed into an exciting journey that Moreton Social Media is now proud to help promote.
With an amateur record of 2 wins and 2 losses, Callum is already building valuable experience inside the cage and establishing himself as one to watch within the next generation of Black Country Combat fighters.
A rare moment in the cage
One of Callum’s victories came via one of the most unusual and rarely seen submissions in MMA — the calf slicer.
This unique submission requires exceptional technique, timing and positioning, making it a particularly impressive way to secure a victory. Callum’s calf-slicer victory is regarded as a rare achievement in UK amateur MMA, adding another memorable chapter to his developing career.

Moreton Social Media is now following Callum's journey as he continues to develop as a fighter.
Our role is to help build his profile, promote his fights, showcase his progression and tell the story behind the fighter, using social media to bring his journey to a wider audience.
